Ok, I should be packing my bags since i'm leaving for the weekend, but I couldn't help but to post a few photos from today.   I attended a workshop given by Jay Reilly and had a blast!  Jay is an amazing photographer, and I hope to be even just a pinch as good as him one day.   Anyway, there will definitely be more pics from today next week sometime, but for now, just a small taste of the fun we had with these gorgeous kids.........

The coast is finally clear to post some more of the photos I took of my sister and her family for their annual New Year/Chinese New Year cards.  The theme this year was based mainly on their classic GTO that is being restored.....so basically retro/cars/junkyards, etc. I definitely had fun trying out some new spots...as well as some different post processing.........

This one cracks me up because Isaac (the little one) is so pissed....and Mason (the older one) looks like he's about to die of boredom......

Oh and both boys were having a bad hair day that day. A few days later, my sister and the boys stopped by to visit, and Mason had AWESOME hair that day (of course). Mark had taken the good camera to work with him that day, but I snapped this with the pocket cam and LOVE it.....

Alright, well my weekend sort of starts tomorrow. I'm going to Jay Reilly's workshop  (woo hoo!) and then i'll be gone to OC all weekend (sans kiddo! - yee-haw!) to celebrate one of my best friend's b-day!  Have a wonderful weekend everyone!! :) 

Being half chinese means that I get to celebrate not one, but two New Years events ;)  Today is Chinese New Year, so PJ and I enjoyed a fun filled day. We started off the day with stopping by daddy's office to drop off chocolate chip scones we made. After visiting the fellas at the office, we had dim sum, followed by a movie, some shopping and topped off by a delicious chinese dinner (with daddy and Uncle Aly)...complete with a chinese lion dance performance (by the same company who performed the chinese lion dance at our wedding back in 2002!).  PJ wore her adorable cheongsam that Auntie Jenny bought for her....and loved every minute of it....especially every time someone told her how pretty it was, or how cute she looked in it..........

Someone had the vulcan death grip on daddy during the entire lion dance...........

I don't blame her....they are a little creepy up close....

Uncle Aly blessed her with her first "'hóng bāo'" (red envelope) this year........

Here's to a prosperous year of the Ox!

She does pick awesome outfits for herself I must say. Ok, well most of the time anyway ;)  This weather is driving me nuts. Hot, cold, dry, rainy, windy, etc....I wish the weather would make up it's mind.  

I ran out to the location I was supposed to have a shoot at this morning, in hopes that maybe it wasn't raining there...but unfortunately it was, so my shoot had to be rescheduled. Since I was already up, I called Mark and told him and PJ to get ready so that we could go grab breakfast (at Mama Kat's of course!). When I got back home to pick them up, Mark said that PJ dressed herself COMPLETELY. Not bad, not bad at all :) She's always been my little Punky Brewster :)   Anyway, of course NOW it's not raining....but it's too late for the client shoot since they were headed out of town for the weekend after our scheduled shoot :(   Since I had all of my camera stuff ready to go, I figured I should snap a few of PJ since she was all Punky Brewster'd out and wanting to go outside anyway (she's been sick all week, so she's been cooped up in the house for days). Can you believe the last time I took pics of her with the SLR was on Christmas Day!? Yeah....bad mommy.

 Ok, off to a birthday party we go!
